Responsibilities - YOUR Role
The Assistant Director of Care will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations within our Surrey facility. This leadership position requires a hands-on approach to managing care staff, ensuring high standards of nursing practices, and fostering a safe, homelike environment for residents.
- Staff recruitment and performance evaluations
- Develop quality improvement goals
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provides direct nursing care, including administration of medications and medical treatments
- Ensure all Clinical and Human Resource audits are completed
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background combined with proven leadership skills in long-term care settings. You are a proactive communicator with a passion for improving resident care and developing your team.
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience recognized by the BCCNM.
- Holds an active registration with the BCCNM as an RN.
- Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in clinical settings.
- Proficiency in Health Informatics systems (e.g. Minimum Data Set (MDS), Gold Care or Point Click Care, eMar.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required (monitoring of evening and night shift and weekends).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and are committed to ongoing education and professional development.
