Position Overview
As the Clinical Practice and Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety and education within our facility. You will collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive training programs and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
Your responsibilities will include managing workplace health and safety programs, conducting regular compliance audits, and facilitating a culture of continuous learning and improvement among team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will embody our values and demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Familiarity with Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA), PIECES, and Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP) preferred.
- Passion for geriatrics and a commitment to best practices in long-term care.
- Strong background in nursing with at least five years of recent experience in gerontology.
- Previous management or leadership experience is an asset.
- Occupational First Aid (Level 1 or Level 2) an asset.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to shared management responsibilities across various shifts.
