HR & Scheduling Coordinator – Glenwood Seniors Community, Agassiz
Pro Vita is looking for a full-time HR & Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Glenwood Seniors Community in Agassiz.
Position: Full-Time HR & Scheduling Coordinator
Hourly Rate: $28.00 per hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 0800–1600
Start Date: Immediately
Location: 1458 Glenwood Dr, Agassiz, BC V0M 1A0
Must Haves:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in scheduling, payroll, and HR administration, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare environment.
- Experience with payroll entry, timekeeping, and attendance management.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling/payroll systems.
- Minimum 50 WPM keyboarding skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination as required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain employee schedules, including full-time, part-time, and casual employees.
- Handle sick calls, vacation requests, shift replacements, and daily staffing coverage.
- Maintain and update scheduling and payroll systems, including recurring schedules and employee changes.
- Prepare and complete HR-related documentation, including payroll forms, WorkSafeBC, OH&S, and attendance-related documentation for Head Office.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and new-hire paperwork.
- Assist with employee relations matters, attendance management, and investigation support as directed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable collective agreements.
- Support training coordination, employee communications, and engagement initiatives.
- Provide reception and administrative support as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
